Internet Society Hong Kong (ISOC-HK)

The vision of ISOC HK is that an open and accessible network, in technology and policy, contributes to and provides a platform for sustainable development of the information society, which enriches the human experience.

The mission of ISOC HK is to:

  1. Foster participation, contribution and leadership from individuals and organisations in Hong Kong, on the open development of standards, protocols, administration, governance and the technical infrastructure and evolution of the Internet, as local and global citizens of the information society;
  2. Promote the Internet as a positive tool and environment for social cooperation, community building, and fostering of a culture that enables self-governance and balanced multi-stakeholder participation to work;
  3. Be a voice and platform for Internet professionals, users and the Internet community at large in cooperative efforts on local and international policy, practice and development;
  4. Provide and facilitate forums for idea, experience and cultural exchange among individuals and organisations from private and public sectors as well as across borders;
  5. Support relevant educational, humanitarian and societal initiatives concerning the Internet community and the information society, such as addressing the bridging of digital divide, capacity and access building, as well as other informational and outreach activities.

AIESEC

AIESEC-LC-HKUST is a branch of AIESEC in The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. ICT Project team in this branch serves as the core working team in this project.

One Laptop Per Child Asia Pacific (OLPC APAC)

One Laptop per Child Asia Pacific (OLPC APAC) is the Asian extension of OLPC. It is a non-profit charitable organization with the mission to empower the children of developing countries in the region to learn by providing one connected laptop to every school-age child. It aims to give underprivileged children in Asia Pacific a better life and future by providing them with a tool, the XO laptop.

DotAsia Organisation

DotAsia is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to promote Internet development and adoption in Asia. The organization oversees the ".Asia" top-level Internet domain name, and is formed as an open consortium of 20 official top-level-domain authorities around the region and 5 regional Internet organizations.

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Group (HKFYG)

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) is one of the territory's largest non-profit, youth work organizations. Its main objective is to provide opportunities and facilities for the social, educational, cultural and physical development of young people. HKFYG mainly focus on Youth Employment, Leadership Training, Volunteer Services, Service for Youth at Risk, Counseling Services, Education Services, Services for Parents, Youth Exchange, E-Services, Leisure Cultural and Sport Activities.

Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS)

The Council represents, with clear vision and professional expertise, non-governmental welfare agencies committed to sustain and develop social welfare in Hong Kong. The ITRC department aims to enhance the ICT Capability of NGOs as well as explore, experiment and promote ways of deploying ICT in the sector. It also aims to Promote Digital Inclusion & equitable ICT policies in information society.
